Free Indiana BMV Practice Test Four 2024 | IN

When you are at least 15 years of age, you may take a written knowledge test to get your permit in Indiana. The written exam consists of 50 multiple-choice questions in two sections. You must answer a minimum of 28 of the 34 rules questions correctly, and at least 14 of the 16 road sign based questions, to pass. Questions are based on the 2024 Indiana Driver’s Manual and will cover topics from traffic laws and safe driving techniques, to road signage and traffic signals. Drivers of all ages, unless they’ve previously held a driver’s license in another state, must receive their learner’s permit and complete a minimum 50 hours of driving, including 10 hours at night under supervision, before they may qualify for a driver’s license. If you’re between 15 and 16 years of age and want to receive your learner’s permit, you’ll need to be enrolled in a driver’s education course. If you do not want to take a driver’s education class, you’ll be required to wait until you’re 16 before you may take your knowledge exam and apply for a permit. Use this BMV practice test to help you study so you can pass and get your permit on your first attempt. Don’t forget to bring $9 for your learner’s permit and the appropriate paperwork.

  • Perfect for learner’s permit, driver’s license, and Senior Refresher Test
